Crompton Hospital....Governments intention wit the HNI is the right way forward

On 2 Feb 2025, I took my wife to the Crompton hospital (a Discovery network hospital) as she was ill and is on Discovery medical aid Dr Darby Khan Reynold wanted my wife to be admitted as there was no one available from Discovery to give authorization We were required to pay R23000 upfront prior to admission Dr Khan prescribed Iron medication based on.the blood test results Devastatingly, Crompton did not have such medication in stock.

Via email, Crompton did a service delivery survey to which I gave Crompton a poor rating A few days later, Ms Hazel from Crompton phone and enquired about the rating and the problem which we advised her of She rep**** that she will refer this matter to her manager who will call us WE ARE STILL WAITING It seems that poor service delivery is the order of the day, yet the patient is a medical aid member. Devastatingly, such medication was not available at the hospital
