Carstenhof Emergency room staff sleeping and not available for ER patient

I am a 3rd trimester pregnant woman who required emergency medical assistance on 13-10-2019. I drove to Carstenhof Hospital on Sunday morning around 5am as I thought I was in pre-term labour, at 28 weeks pregnant. I directly went to the Emergency section only to be greeted with locked doors and no one in sight. I rang the bell on the door multiple times only for no one to respond. A security on duty came by and I told him I required emergency medical assistance. He asked me to ring the bell again as the EMS staff might be sleeping. I did as he requested, but still no response. He asked me to sit and wait by the benches as he went to another side of the entrance/hospital to look for the staff. He came back with no assistance for me. At this point, tears started to run down my cheeks. Tears of pain from my pregnancy, but also tears of disbelief. I decided to leave and proceed to the next hospital as I did not want to end up giving birth on a bench, but at the same time, I was taking a risk driving with what I thought was labour pains at that point. I decided to take the risk and proceed to Hospital Number 2.

I arrived at Hospital Number 2 safely +- 15 mins later, still with the baby inside of me, albeit still in pain. Allow me to mention here that Hospital Number 2 requires a co-payment from me if it is not an emergency visit. So now it’s up to me, and hopefully with the assistance of the Hospital staff, to convince the medical aid company to waive the exorbitant co-payment fee that I need to pay. I have already received the bill for this from Discovery, and need the co-payment fee wavered as I did go to the hospital under my plan (Carstenhof) only to receive no service. (We received authorisation for my admission, with a note about the co-payment.

With all that said, please can you assist me with 2 issues: 1. Get someone from the Life Hospital Group or Life Carstenhof Hospital to explain why there was no staff available at the Emergency section in the morning of 13 October 2019. 2. Assist me with getting the medical aid company to waive my co-payment for Hospital Number 2 as I went to Hospital 2 (not in my network) because I could not risk losing my baby, i.e. Emergency.
