Booked into hospital without the hospital knowing
My partner was booked into Wilgeheuwel hospital for 10 days. After requesting several times for an update with regards to our medical aid paying we kept being told to wait. Day 10 comes around and we told that the medical aid rejected about 5 days prior. Just to add. The hospital only registered that he was there 10 days later??? We now have a bill for close to 100k. I have phoned and asked for explanations and was basically told that I MUST pay. Please Wilgeheuwel how do you explain this. Not once did a case manager come to see us within the 10 days despite me asking several times for feedback????

14 Apr 2022, 22:56Not to mention my son was brought in yesterday with a temp of 39.3 degrees. When I asked the nurse on duty if they can see to my son quickly as im worried he has a fit.. she simply said "we will try, we are very busy" Are children not the number 1 priority??? To add insult the doctor simply sent him home with medication for a fever. He said my son has the start of a viral infection and his markers are not high enough to put him in hospital.... I was then told I must wait to see if it gets worse and bring him back???
