Bedford Gardens Hospital ICU- No respect for elderly patients.

My 92 year old gran was admitted to Bedford Gardens ICU. She was admitted due to a possible stroke. She is deaf and cant see all that well and with the stroke she had on Monday, she has moments of confusion. She needs assistance in getting up to go to the toilet etc. We were notified today by one of the patients that the night nurses were extremely rude and rough with her. When my gran called the nurse over for some help, the nurse rolled her eyes and walked away. How do you treat someone like this, who has gone through a traumatic experience and is surrounded by unfami**** people? She has had huge amounts of tests done over the past few days, and to get feedback from her doctor has been an absolute mission. No calls, nothing. We have been stting in the dark not knowing what's happening, you think the nurses would be able to give you some information but they know nothing either. We eventually waited around for her to do her rounds at the hospital to speak to her face to face and find out what was going on with my gran and what the outcome of the test results were. This woman was in such a rush, we got 5mins of her time. I understand she has other patients to see but try be a bit more compassionate, we nearly watched my gran die on Monday.

Extremely saddened by the disrespect shown to an elderly patient.
