Bad work ethics at Life Health Care Parkland Springs

<p>I thought private health care offers best service until yesterday when nursing staff Surgical ICU ward 8 where my mom was transferred to acted irresponsibly. Yesterday, 7 Jan 2016, Dr Van Vuuren issued instruction to sister in charge that they do Gastroscope at night to determine the cause of vomiting blood. We contacted the ICU 3 times to find out how my mom was doing and staff told us she's never been to Theatre and there was no valid reason for that. I then lost it this morning when staff told my sister that mom's name was not on the list of patients to Theatre. I found this practice unacceptable! My mom is vomiting blood and this is not treated as urgent! Nobody is communicating to family and colleagues to check why mom is not being called to Theatre. No one apologised and try to expedite the process. My sister had to ask one of the staff to call the Dr. I've lost confidence and would not advise anyone to go to the hospital as their service sucks. </p> <p>I'll find Bette </p>
