Bad Casualty "After Service" - Money Greedy Hospital

<p>To Whom It May Concern & Robinson Hospital Casualty Unit</p> <p> </p> <p>On Saturday, 11 March 2017, I took my Son to Life Robinson Hospital's Casualty Unit as he had an accident on a trampoline and had cut open his head at the back.</p> <p> </p> <p>Firstly:</p> <p>I am aware of the R300 co-paymet for being on the Discovery Keycare Plus plan, but was then told I had to make another payment of R270 to see the doctor - no notices whatsoever in the Casualty Unit for patients to take note off!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Secondy:</p> <p>After I have informed the Casualty Unit receptionist that my Son had a bad cut due to the impact of falling off the trampoline and cutting his head on the link that the trampoline spring was attached to, I was told that a sister will be called immediately to assist - which obviously did not happen as we waited for more than 30mins with a child that was in an undescribable amount of pain and wanted to pass out. Not that good hey...</p> <p> </p> <p>Thirdly:</p> <p>The doctor that did the stiches told me to bring in my Son on Saturday, 18 March 2017 to have the stiches removed as this would only take a minute, and to get a letter that my Son is fine to participate in his after-school activities.</p> <p> </p> <p>As I contacted the hospital today, I was informed that to have the 2x stitches removed, it was going to cost me another R570 - to open a new file... This is bull**** and ****ing rediculous!! Where do these people think we need to **** out money for this - R570 for merely 2 minutes??</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Really!! I expect this hospital's Management to phone me...</p> <p> </p> <p>This used to be my favourite hospital, but I can guarantee that I will not make use of this **** place again!! And if need be go to social media and expose this money greedy hospital... What happened to "after service with a smile"...</p> <p> </p>
