Appalling Service at Life Flora hospital.

My mother was admitted to Life Flora Hospital in Roodepoort last week in a very bad state. On visiting her I was really utterly disgusted in the nursing staff. They are rude, unfriendly, arrogant and make as if they don't understand when the patients speak to them in their mother tongue and ask them to speak in English. She was full of bruises and they have the audacity to tell her to lie still. She was dehydrated and weak so she can't go anywhere but to lie still!!!!! ( And I said that very sarcastically) No explanation no apology on why she is full of bruises. For me that is abuse on an old person who can't defend herself!!!!!! On doing vital checks on my mother it seems like they don't know or just don't give a damn if the machine is hurting her. On asking her a question on the machine she ignored me. Being in a nursing position working with patients you must have compassion and a passion for your work. Or don't they take the nurses pledge they took seriously???? For all the money they pay she could just as well lie on a bench because they didn't even care if she ate or warm enough. Their serves is pathetic, disgusting and a disgrace. I find the hospital dirty and it felt like a maze that I have to find my way in. Is this what our private hospitals are becoming? Is this the type of service people are paying for?
