Annoyed Mom

<p>So last night i rush my son to Vincent Pallotti Hospital emergency unit because he had a pounding heart rate after meds and as a mom, we just know when things are just not right.</p> <p> </p> <p>Jump out the car and into the emergency section and there is nobody there, not even someone sitting at the desk for admin, i look around, son next to me squeezing my hand and i am in shock... After standing for about 5 minutes the admin guy walk in with a cup of coffee and this smug look on his face" can i help you he looks me up and down" and i respond well of course. I have dealt with this specific admin guy before, he always looks miserable and uninterested and i remember feeling before as if i had to almost beg him to see a doctor... He has this arrogant manner about him that just grated my soul and especially that my son needed help, almost like i will do this on my time and you will need to just accept this because im in charge here... Ok so passed the arrogant admin guy and into a waiting room where vitals are checked and im needing to explain what happened, so half way through me explaining the guy nurse could not really speak English well he says just hold on mam let me go fetch my book to write down... at this point im furious and time is being wasted and my son needs to see a doctor, all im saying to myself is once the doctor comes it will be ok i need to stay calm.</p> <p> </p> <p>Then in walks the doctor hardly making eye contact looking like his angrier than me, so i start my explanation again and his listening and mentions ok no sign of heart failure and im like WHAAAT omw is it that serious and he Dr started getting more irritated the more questions i had, my sons father was with and he was just as concerned. We were asking normal questions like what do we need to look out for is there anything we should be concerned about etc, as im sure any parent would have asked, and as we were asking the questions the Dr was walking out of the room and we were basically following him out. We could feel him shrugging us off and basically saying ok hurry up already.</p> <p>we left that Hospital feeling more anxious and angry than when we got there and eventually took him to another hospital for a second opinion and they were great.</p> <p> </p> <p>My son is 4 years old and his been going to Vincent since 3 months, most of the doctors and nurses know him but never in my life have i felt as angry and disgusted as i did last night and this was after 10pm. Is there no more humanity in these industries? do people not respect one another anymore? do Doctors not become doctors to help people?</p> <p> </p> <p>This morning i get a email </p> <p>"Good day</p> <p> Please can you sent me a copie of Zeke’s birth certificate and id or drivers of main member.</p> <p> Regards</p> <p>Donnie"</p> <p> He sent that email to me last night whilst at the hospital and says to the father of my child, ive seen you before and ive asked you for this before in a manner like his undermining him.</p> <p> </p> <p>I will never take my child back there again, not that they would care and this would be my first Hellopeter ever but i just can't fathom what is happening in places we are supposed to trust for our lives.</p>
