On the 14th Nov24 i was admitted for a spinal fusion at Wilgeheuwel Hospital. I was then discharged from ICU on the 16thNov to SECTION 7 ward E.I was there until the 20th when i was discharged. During this period i will never forget as the nursing staff are bullies, exceptionally rude.On the day i was being discharged the sister woke me up at 4.30 and shouted come its time to wash you. I got up and stumbled with a walker to the bathroom, she took my top off and my pants and washed my arms and face. She then told me in Afrikaans ,was DAAI DING EN AGTER OOK,I did that and brushed my teeth. We then went back to the ward and sat on the bed. She said now some clothes and while she was looking ,i said I wonder what I did with my cell phone. Then all hell broke loose, she emptied my tog bags as if they were trash bags. Not finding anything she ran out the ward to somewhere that stage I never knew where she went. She returned and then said do I know my number and she want it.She called my wife at 4.56 and asked her if she had the phone. My wife told her yes and that i asked her to take it when visiting hours had finished. About 10 minutes later another sister came next to my bed and said, I used my phone to call your wife and now that we have found the phone am i going to arrest then again. I never ever intimated when i asked about my phone that it was pinched or misplaced, that was all I said. I have to say that section 7 is run by a bad group and they are a law unto themselves. I will never ever recommend or promote Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital again, the theatre the first thing the Dr said and no sitting only lying or standing. When I sisters are not sympathetic to your state. I was categorically told by the Dr no sitting but when they take you to wash, they make you sit on the toilette. They give you the impression that you should just be glad that you have sisters to assist. This was the night staff when this all happened.
