Bring a Friend for Free

RE: JULY PROMO_BRING A FRIEND FOR FREE

On 27 July, I made a telephonic enquiry about the different massage options for my mom who was celebrating her birthday. The consultant was very helpful and we decided on a date an time for my moms session.

I was then informed to go onto the website to confirm the booking. Which I did, as I knew exactly what massage, time and date to book.

After my mom's session on 29 July she called me to say that she had a fantastic experience and feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. She then asked me if I was aware of their 'July Promotion_Bring a Friend for Free'.

I was not aware of this. the consultant did not inform me. In addition to that, I probably spoke to 3 consultants as I waited for banking details to make payment. On each occasion that I called, not one of them when confirming the booking made mention of the promotion or asked if I was aware of it.

I called the manager to inform her. Surely if I was aware of the "bring a friend for free promotion' I would've had someone accompany my mom. Who would miss out on that kind of promotion?

Instead, the managers from both Waterfront and Century City continued to insult me. "it is all over our facebook and instagram page, our newsletters and email signatures etc. We have been running this promotion for so many years and not once has anyone complained"

I kept reminding them that I do not follow them on Facebook nor Instagram and that I do not subscribe to their newsletter nor was the ad visible on any of their email signatures. When i made my booking online I went directly to that link so I had no intention of browsing their webpage and did not even notice the ad etc.

I just feel and I will stand to this, that they are suppose to advise you of the promo running at the specific period. I would think it is their responsibility to tell you once you purchase the special.

And the fact that they kept making me feel like an idiot for not understanding their promotion is really annoying.

response received via email...
Hi Sihaam
Thank you for forwarding the email from Life Day Spa Century City.
Looking at our email I notice you don’t have the last email sent to you in. Please see attach the email trail the spa sent me where the Bring a friend promotion was in the signature.
As mentioned to you yesterday, it is not our intention to mislead or of have any of our clients upset. We promote all our promotion on all platform.
Email, Sms, In Spa Artwork, Facebook, Instagram and Website in a banner and in promotion section (See attach) .
The only part they didn’t do is to inform you over the phone, which is not part of our protocol.
We don’t inform clients booking for a single person treatment about our couples packages.
If you were booking for 2 people, they would’ve informed you about the bring a friend promotion.
We have truly never in 5 years of running this promotion in all our 14 spas had this complaint before.
Maybe in future if we decide to run this promotion again, we can change protocols.
We can gladly add you to the database to receive all our promotion via email if you wish to.
I hope this give you some clarity on this and see that we didn’t do anything to mislead you.
Please let me know if you have any other queries.
Kind Regards,
SG

Certainly need to change your protocols as it is misleading.
