Take my money anyway

I recently decided to change medical aids as I felt I wasn't getting the best possible deal I could.

I spoke to my broker and asked him how I should go about changing. He informed me, I was to give 1 months notice with Liberty.

So I called them up and went through the process of cancelling and ''giving notice''. A month later which is the end of the month I check my bank statements and see that I have been debited by both the new Med aid company and Liberty. It is clear that my membership was NOT cancelled.

Not having budgeted for this loss of income, it has put me under immense financial pressure. I am not only annoyed but I am highly disgusted at the fact that I as the client followed the right procedures yet I am the one left inconvenienced and tight for cash.

May I just add that this is not the first time that I have asked for or given instructions to Liberty and been totally disregarded.
