How Liberty Life abuses their members

<p>Once again I am disgusted at how badly Liberty Life treats their members. I lost my job 2 months ago, and we cannot afford the high and expensive option that I am currently on. The Call centre assured me that they will move me down to a lower more affordable option once I have gone through all the steps. First they tell me that they need a request in writing. So I sent them the email, after a very long wait, they tell me they need the email from the address theyhave on the system. So I send it from that email, then again I wait, then they tell me they cant use the email, they need a letter with my signature scanned and emailed to them, which I then also did. Then after all this (and during all this I had to also phone and email multiple times just to get them to answer me) they tell me NO, they cant put me on a lower option, but I am welcome to quit the scheme, and then apply again for a lower option but then it will be subject to underwriting and waiting periods. I have been a member of this scheme for 9 years!!! And it is absolutely disgusting to me that I am treated this way! I have 2 kids and I am suppose to just cancel my medical aid???? That is their brilliant advice???? They absolutely SUC****!!!!!!!</p>
