Pathetic Service and Communication

On Wednesday 17 September I started receiving sms's from LGR Attorneys acting on behalf of Standard Bank for an outstanding payment on my credit card. Since the month of August I was trying to finalize my last payment on my credit card to Settle after making a few months deposits ahead, to close this credit card in the bank. Arriving with a huge queue i was advised I could close this account telephonically as I made all payments via transfer. Attempting 2 calls to settle this cc, I waited on calls anything up to 30 mins still unable to close this account as my last R141.72 did not go through which i only realized as it did not show on my transactions. In the interim upon receiving sms's from LGR i immediately confirmed to make the outstanding payment on the same Wednesday into banking details provided on sms. Proof of payment was emailed on the same Wednesday to email supp****. Thursday 7am I received a reminder sms for payment after submitting the POP on Wednesday already. Friday 7am I received a thank you for payment sms. This was the last payment to settle my account and close. I then proceeded in contacting Standard Bank yet again waiting 30mins still not having my call attended to by Retention Department. I then hung up, phoned back and waited another 15mins and my call was just dropped. I then complained by email about the service and insufficiency to close this credit card. Saturday I received another sms by LGR that my payment plan lapsed and I now owe R100 on my credit card, which was confirmed by the complaints department. It is not my responsibility to make additional payments for INCOMPETENCE between a bank and their acting Attorneys. Companies are quick to want money but not quick to act when the client has been battling non-stop to get rid of an account.
