Think twice before buying Lenovo

My Lenovo laptop purchased via Computermania has a three year warranty. I booked it in for repairs under the warranty in October 2024. When the device was handed in, it was checked for user induced damage and none was found. A month later its becoming a fight to get the repairs done and the unit returned to me. Lenovo South Africa is finding every excuse under the sun to not do the repairs timeously and honour the warranty. How long does it take to repair the hinges on the screen? Last week, I was advised that the repairs were approved and the device would be returned to me by today. Only to be told this morning that the device was placed on the incorrect list and the repairs not completed. Does Lenovo South Africa have any damn idea of how poor their service is to their customers? Do they even care? Certainly not. If any consumer is considering purchasing a Lenovo laptop - think TWICE - this manufacturer will find reasons not to honour the warranty. Consider another brand.
