Can't repair a tablet under warranty because it doesn't have a charger

Bought a tablet at hifi corporate and it's been 10months now and it's stopped working I took it back since it was under warranty, now I was told lenova doesn't want to take it for fixing because it doesn't have an original charger. I fail to understand the reason behind this we change charges all the time the original stopped working way back so where am I supposed to get it. So that means my tablet won't be fixed because it does not have a charger?
