-5 stars, Absolutely disappointed with Lenovo's service and business!

I had ordered a High end Laptop while in the US from amazon, while traveling. I received the unit a month later, and only got to it when in South Africa, this was at the beginning of August. To my surprise the expensive laptop that I purchased, while turns on does not function due to a physical hardware defect, I know this having spent hours upon hours trouble shooting the problem and looking online and every forum on the issue as well as having an IT technician look at it. Thus I got a hold of Lenovo South Africa and tried to address this problem not only did I have to tell them how their own international insurance works, they then said my laptop model was not covered under international warranty, and again I had to show them information that they should already know( i am covered under International warranty). Now I believe that when buying a product worth R24,000 and it is basically DOA ( Dead on Arrival) I expect the company to replace it no questions asked, this is a brand new laptop, still with all packaging and protective sleeves (you name it). It has been more than 2 and a half months since I started the battle, I have been told that they are unable to replace it because it has a different serial number to those sold in the US. Seriously Lenovo how pathetic! You guys sold me a defective unit, you claim that you can’t do anything about it and try push the blame to everyone else, and not address the problem. All of Lenovo’s products are manufactured under the same factory roof in China and you are telling me that it’s impossible to replace due to the face that they have different serial numbers (THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME PRODUCT). All I want is for my laptop to be replaced, you guys have my money, have my brand new laptop which I have used once, and I am still waiting for this to be resolved after more than 2 and a half months. I just want to have a new laptop that works, that’s all I ask.
