Worst service ever, nurses do not know what they are doing, they leave my dad medicine laying around without making him consume it, when we ask, the one shift is blaming the other shift, sometimes we have to remind nurses that he needs to take his medication, nurse are not aware of doctors instructions, and they don’t read patients files, today my dad missed his dose because the nurse left it on the side table, when asked the nurse on duty does not have answers she is blaming it on the day shift, which makes me wonder why is my dad’s recovery so slow, he is not getting the proper care he deserves, I reported this a week ago to the manger she said she will speak to her staff, to my surprise a week later the same thing is still happening which also makes me question her leadership, the ward in level 4 is bad, and if something happens to my dad I will take legal actions against the hospital, the staff is negligent, no care whatsoever, this is someone’s health that is implicated, they can’t gamble with someone’s life like this, i know for a fact if it was there family member things will be different!!! We pay for medical aid for peace of mind to get best service possible for our loved ones, not this nonsense that’s happening at shifa hospital, I repeat if something happens to my father, I will sue the hell out of this hospital, someone needs to be accountable, it’s human being that kept there not animal, stop violating their rights to proper healthcare

Nurse Mbali in the maternity ward held me and comforted me as I wept in pain as I lost our baby. She held me and comforted me and made me feel safe and so cared for. Nurse Zinhle was so caring too. I also will never forget the kindness of Sister Khanya. I can't remember all their names but the Matron and the head nurse/manager also came to me and they showed me so much kindness, compassion and attentive care. Doctor Chantal Sewram gave me such special care and never made us feel rushed or like we were just a number. She took her time treating me and showed me and my partner understanding, empathy and respect during the worst time of our lives when we needed it the most. She never grew impatient and she answered all our questions even at times when I asked the same question over and over again due to shock and grief. She then took the time to further ensure our wellbeing by sending us a very caring clinical psychologist to do a session with us while we were still at the hospital before getting discharged. Every single nurse in that maternity ward, every single cleaner, nursing assistant, manager, matron, kitchen staff, everyone was nothing but kind, compassionate and caring. I've been to hospitals overseas in first-world countries. But still... Shifa maternity ward is where I received the best care, compassion, medical attention, and support I could ever ask for. I would recommend Shifa, specifically their maternity ward, to anyone. It is clear that it is well run by exceptional, well-trained, educated, caring, compassionate leaders who have taught all the staff under them to show and give the same kindness and compassion they innately give. You can see they are all well educated and kind, loving staff. Every nurse gave me medical care with the least amount of pain and the least amount of stress. I only received love, kindness, compassion and excellent, world-class medical care. They made the worst experience of my life so much more bearable and I will never forget them and the kindness they showed me and my partner.

The nursing, cleaning staff, and Tsebo Food Services together with the Senior Doctor, Dr Gangat, I salute each and every one of you for service excellence. I witnessed the Fedics staff member feed an elderly gentleman who could not feed himself. The nurse bath him and changed him. Everything done with a smile. Dr Gangat with his jovial and professional style, I have no words to say

I have been phoning Lenmed Shifa Private Hospital Accounts department to request a hospital account. I was informed that there is a system problem, and they can't print it. I have been calling, but they are not fixing the problem.
