Unprofessional , Lazy Nursing staff

My mum was admitted to Nu Shifa hospital this week, extremely ill and at her worst ever. Instead of caring and treating her like the private hospital nurses should, we found she was in the care of unprofessional, lazy nurses who seem to have forgotten which industry they have chosen to be in. This is not the hospitality industry where you just don't bother about your guests in your care and it's forgotten, this the medical profession where you'll are dealing with people's lives here!!! Had we not stepped in to check on my mum, I shudder to think what would have happened that day. From not giving her the proper medical attention when she needed it, to not bringing in food to a patient that had not eaten for over a day due to her illness, this laid back and don't care attitude from the nurses was shocking! I had brought it to the attention of certain management of the hospital, to which I was advised will be investigated and will be contacted but nothing yet, and it's a week later! What once was a top hospital in Durban, is now run by staff who think they are doing the paying patients a favour by taking care of them when help is needed the most!!
