Long waiting hours at the er and no help

Spent 4 hours waiting in the OR only for me not to be helped. I accidently inhaled/have a sweet small wrapper piece stuck inside my mouth palate but doctor said she can not see anything I was expecting her to refer me to an ent or something coz I can feel the irritation and obviously it is something you can not see. She just told me to drink water, my body will eventually get rid of the piece
