Lack of Urgency, care and passion
<p>I am totaly dissatissfied with the treatment one gets at the Lenmed Zamokuhle Private Hospital. I was rushed to the hospital on sunday (29/01/2017) due to a symptoms of a miscarriage which my Dr arranged for me to be admitted even before I had arrived. I got to casuality to be asked if I have a medical aid or not and which one it was and the option and then I was assisted to go to the maternity ward. Once I was there one of the nurses shouted at the security lady that helped me to the ward and asked her why she brought me to their ward because they didnt have any beds available (mind you im standing right there, in pain and in need of their help), she (The Security lady) told her she was instructed to bring me up because she was told that my Dr had already called the hospital to inform them about my arrival, that was when the nurse told her colleague to take me in. I was later taken to the Labour Room to be "stabilized". The nurse that admitted me told me that my Dr had sent him a message as to what medication they must use to stabilize me till he gets to the hospital, this was at about 12:30 mid-day but he couldnt do anything to me because he still doesnt have my file so he had to wait. An hour later my file was FINALLY completed and I could FINALLY get my medication( well I hoped). The drip was one inserted an hour or so later and was given Paracetamol but not the rest of meds (anti biotics) that was supposed to be given. During that time, I have been asking for food as I was hungry only to be told that my food was ordered and will get it shortly (it was around 13:00pm when the food was apparently ordered, only recieved the food at 16:00pm, 3 hours later) My Dr eventually arrived at about 17:00pm and he checked my drip to see if all my meds have been given to me becuase he was only informed around 4pm that the meds he had told them to give me they do not have and wanted him to give them alternative meds (IMAGINE he gave them instructions when I got to the hopsital at around 1pm but they only got back to him @ 4pm, 3 hours later) so he was worried if i was stabilized on time and told me we had to do an ultrsound to check if the fetus was fine, which he didnt even take long to notice that the fetus had collapsed and told me I had miscarriage. </p>
The Dr then told me I needed to go to theatre for scrubbing which I did ( I was still admitted in the labour ward and still havent been moved to a normal ward like they had told me they would since they were fixing a bed for me). I went to theatre, came back at about 10:30pm only to be placed in the "First Stage Ward" right opposite the Labour Ward. I finally managed to get some sleep only to be woken up at 3am by a woman screaming becuase she was giving birth and next thing I hear her baby crying, at that moment I felt so low and just cried at how insensitive these nurses could be, I had just suffered a miscarriage and they just had to put in me where I was going to be exposed to such. i trully hate that hospital and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. In the morning I was woken up at 6am to be told that I was being discharged (never been happier to finally leave that place) and after that ||I was reminded about 5 times by (3 different people) that I am leaving and should go take a shower, I did just that and waited for my breakfast to arrive (which was at 9am, stale and very cold with juice that contained Guava, the same juice I told them I was allergic too even had a wrist band that had my allergy). While I was eating my breakfast 2 nurses on either side can and told m im leaving I had to sign my discharge forms and the other wanted to take my drip out, these people didnt even wait for me to eat in peace and then come, NO they stopped me and did their work. So the thing is when I got there, there didnt want me since I was told there where no beds, then once they have admitted me they want me out so I can make space for another patient. So I did just that ad left. I was told the Dr didnt leave a Dr's note and I shoulod go to his practice rooms and fetch it, told them ok because I wanted to go talk to him about my experience there so I left. At about 15:00pm one of the nurses calls me and tells me I forgot my Dr note and I should comeback and fetch it (at that time I had long go called my Dr and told him I didnt get a note and will come fetch it from him on tuesday and he told me he did leave it there but ts fine I can come fetch it) so I told that nurse I wont be coming back there I already spoke to my Dr and he will give me another note so its fine. Did I mention I wasnt even given a survey when I was discharged??? Didi I mention that the room I was in there had stored some equipment in and had a fridge where they stored placentas?? so there nurses distured me as they were walking in and out of the room to store stuff in there fridge. Did I also mention that I didnt even have a drawer to store my personal belongings or even offered water like they always do at all hospital patience??? That hospiatl is ther worst "private hospital" I have EVER been too, it doesnt even deserve to be called PRIVATE.
