Kimberley Lenmed. Bitter Sweet Part 1

The service at Lenmed Royal Hospital Kimberley is both excellent and pathetic at the same time. Why excellent - we have been treated with kindness compassion emphaty by the staff doctors nurses receptionists security and I will elaborate on this if you contact me(Lenmed) . Why pathetic-I understand now why a lot of people in Kimberley and surrounding areas friends family colleagues complain about Lenmed Kimberley. And it's very simple there are individuals(some nurses) that deliver very very poor and pathetic service at Lenmed Kimberley. I can elaborate on that also if you contact me. Why do you hire these people? Except for the qualifications they should have do you look at personality traits? Do they really understand what nursing is about? Can they honor the pledge they made? But listen even if they not kind and compassionate and friendly etc they must atleast do their work properly. I would go as far and not even care about them being friendly and treating you like a human but they should atleast do their job correct right? . For a private hospital? That is pathetic. It is a difficult job we understand that is why I adore the others at your hospital(Kimberley Lenmed) because despite of the difficulty of being a nurse they treating us with respect dignity doing an excellent job attending to my wife and child. Please feel free to contact me I can explain give my side of the story and you can decide if I'm being unreasonable. The level of ignorance rudeness arrogance some of these nurses display I don't understand. With the devasting heartbreaking conditions that our state hospitals are in Lenmed Kimberley will soon and very soon fall in that very same category with the poor nursing services they deliver. I can even go as for to say that my experience with government has been much better compared to my experience with Lenmed Kimberly because like your hospital they also have excellent kind loving competent caring people working in their facility. One example for the readers. My wife is currently in ICU. The nurses(some of them) attending to her will dissappear and leave her unattended for long periods of time. How do you leave a patient in ICU alone for such long periods? She requires suction to remove the liquids phelm mucus and fluids from her mouth tudes and lungs but she's left unattended . Just now she was struggling to breath and became restless with her sats (oxygen) dropping to 77%. When I asked for help from another nurse immediately after the suction her sats (oxygen) went up to between 93 and 97% I have video footage to show you. Earlier today she was also left alone the machines administrating the medication was beeping the ventilator was beeping I asked her to try and spit the mucus out and then I wiped it from the side of her mouth using toilet paper. I understand that sometimes they(nurses) attend to more than one patient and they need to do other work like maybe call pharmacy or the dietician etc I understand that they have to go on lunch and eat but please make arrangements for that to avoid leaving a critically ill patient alone. I tried to explain to the unit manager but she has this tendency to listen to respond and not listen to understand. Covering up the negligence of the people she manages. She told me that a nurse can't be at the patient side all the time. It makes sense because we know they have a lot of work but leave her alone for long periods? ICU stands for INTENSIVE CARE UNIT with emphasis on intensive care. But readers they like to cover up for each other and the minute they see you might bring them in trouble they will retaliate and make life difficult for you at hospital like they did me this afternoon. All of a sudden I can only go to my wife during visiting hours but before that before I was allowed to see her at any time even if it was for a little while. I wasn't even rude or disrespectful I just asked for help that's all. It's sickening honestly. I write this with a heavy heart and it is bitter sweet because we have received excellent service also and I really want to say thank you to those individuals and I will write another review to thank them and I will name those individuals and teams. Readers if you find yourself at Lenmed Kimberley and you attended by them know that they heaven sent and that you will receive excellent service. See my second review for their names and the units they work in. They deserve a good review with a 5 star rating. I hope the management of Lenmed Kimberley or Lenmed management overall will do something to improve the service we get from those individuals in Kimberley. All we want to see is our loved ones receiving the best possible care. Simple. We always pray for doctors nurses all supporting personnel for strength guidance from the Almighty One. For Him to help them to help us. Do you think we go to hospital for fun? We don't. We come to your hospitals for help in all forms. Treating a patient with kindness makes them feel better safe etc it makes it easier for them nobody wants to be in hospital. It makes it easier for the families knowing their lived ones are in good hands. I humbly ask please please do something. Send them for more training or something. I hope to hear from you.
