Having medical aid should mean peace of mind

My mother was injured in a taxi and was ruahed to Ethekwini Hospital by an ambulance. The paramedics left her at the emergency unit where they did an xray. It was then discovered that one of the bones of her foot was broken. She was then admitted and attended by Dr. Bagwandin who discharged her on the same day. I was shocked to discover that she had been discharged while they haven't attended to her, they gave her painkillers and said she should come back on monday. I then took her home and on Monday I sent her back to be examined and she was admitted due to the excessive pain. The doctor advised that he couldn't operate her because of the swelling and bruises. She then waited until Wednesday when she went to theatre. Again, to my surprise she was discharged on the following day. She couldn't even walk, we used a wheel chair to get her to the car. She's been in alot of pain ever since the operation. I'm not a doctor, however I feel that she wasn't given proper medical care at this well known hospital. She also states that she met a new doctor in theatre so it's not Dr. Bugwandin that performed the operation and she wasn't informed of this before hand. This hospital has failed us.
