Lenmed Ahmed Kathrada hospital, My mother is currently in ICU Medical ward, I Have never seen such terrible service in a private Facility

Let me start of by saying this is not the end I will be taking this matter further to the highest level available

Since my mother was at admitted at that hospital I have I have received nothing but trauma , negligence disrespect and humiliation from THE medical ICU Ward

I have laid 3 complaints about the bad service that we are receiving , spoke to charlotte the manager , I spoke to Shireen the Ward manager – nothing changed knor are they showing any interest in my concerns, The first incident I had was with a nurse in the same ward I simply asked her for an update on my mothers condition, she simply showed no interest , she left when I asked her again she asked me (WHAT DO YOU WANT) this being a professional employed by a private facility, The next day there was a male nurse stationed to check my mom, she needed assistance to go to the toilet because she had just came from spinal surgery, The nurse Bluntly refused to take her, I then contacted Shireen and advised her of the incident, she said she will look into it, and make sure that a female nurse will be stationed there to assist if she needed to use the bathroom which did not happen,

The following day when I went for visiting the same male nurse was stationed there , Spoke in zulu assuming that my mother is colored she doesn’t understand he said ( This women is so old and sick why doesn’t she just DIE)

Im devastated as im typing this message, how could a professional nurse say something like that without remorse, this event stirred up serious trauma and anxiety in my moms mind – every visit I make now to go and check her she asks me to please help her they are trying to kill her – Another female nurse went to warm her food up, The plate broke and the fell out , She again made another traumatizing comment we all heard it , she said ( This is a bad OMEN) IF the plate breaks, I do not believe in such things – but my mother took it in a different way she started crying and asked me to take her to a different hospital ,because of the remarks , attitude and behavior of those nurses-

Now im stuck in a very difficult situation because everytime I go for visiting it’s the same thing , her state of mind hes been messed up, A surgery was delayed on Friday because of what the male nurse said ( Shes old she must just Die) , Her condition worsened her blood pressure went ski high , she got panic attacs and was scared to go to theatre, This being a person who is in critical condition , Also on chemo therapy and now discover that she has other conditions which she never had before, This Delay of the surgery was a big setback because the Surgeon needed to flush out the infection she developed which kept on spreading, Finally the surgery was done on Sunday 10 September , I went to see her there was a tube in her mouth for oxygen but she was fully conscious she asked my for a pen and paper to write on – ( They are trying to kill me Please help ) the nurses were present they saw everything , None of these nurses show any remorse – Not even a public hospital displays this kind of inhumanity

Im still waiting for them, The 1 nurse said she will arrange for a trauma psychiatrist to come and speak to her because at this stage she has severe trauma she doesn’t sleep and all of these things are just worsening her conditions,

Since no one trying to do anything to change the situation – im sending this to as many people as I can to try n seek help at this stage im afraid my mothers life is in Danger- But I cannot remove her from the hospital because im very pleased and grateful for the service That the doctors are giving her @ DR Muntree – Thank you for trying your best to save her ,

This is taking a Tall on me I have even started taking sleeping medication, because is scared and traumatized, I don’t know what to do anymore.
