Inappropriate legal advise on a labour related matter.

I am embroiled in a labour dispute with my previous employer. This is following non-payment of my severance benefit. As a subscriber to Legal & Tax I contacted them to assist in engaging this employer. However, the process engaging the employer went for 3 months or so. Following my numerous follow-ups with Legal & Tax I was recently informed that the previous employer is non-responsive and as a result I needed to contact the CCMA to resolve the matter. If this was meant to be, why was I not advised to contact CCMA from the onset? Having wasted this much time and running for almost 6 months without payment I am referred to CCMA where I will be on my own without any representation. How much long will the CCMA process take? I am deeply frustrated and wish to advise the public out there to be warry of the service to expect from Legal & Tax Services in time of their need.
