Extremely Poor Service – Avoid Legal & Tax for SARS Returns

I've had one of the worst service experiences with Legal & Tax regarding my SARS tax return. I would strongly advise anyone against using them for tax submissions.

My return process started on 14 July 2026, the day filing season opened. More than three months later, the submission is still not finalised.

After signing a Power of Attorney so they could file on my behalf, they blocked my master access to my SARS eFiling profile. I could not see whether anything had been submitted, whether SARS requested documents, or whether my compliance status changed. I could only log in — nothing else.

Despite repeated requests for access and multiple attempts to revoke the POA, they ignored my emails and only responded via phone calls, clearly to avoid leaving a written record.

This has caused unnecessary delays, stress, and risk of penalties as the filing deadline approaches. I would not recommend Legal & Tax to anyone needing reliable tax assistance.
