Extremely disappointing experience

We used Lara Louise Designs to make brides****s’ dresses for my friend’s wedding, and I would strongly advise against using her. Communication was shocking throughout the process, messages were ignored, and there was absolutely no accountability when issues arose.

The dresses themselves were poorly made: straps were sewn on twisted, none of the dresses were lined (making them see-through), and she went ahead and bought different fabric and made the dresses without the bride’s approval. When we raised our concerns, she never apologized or took responsibility.

We chose not to return the dresses for “fixing” because, after everything we had experienced, we had no confidence in her ability to correct the mistakes or communicate properly, especially so close to the wedding. When we sent photos of the workmanship and expressed our disappointment, not even an apology was offered. In the end, we were forced to buy new brides****s’ dresses, losing 100% of the money we had already paid in full.

It is completely unacceptable and embarrassing to charge clients for work of such poor quality, coupled with unprofessional communication and no accountability. Highly recommend avoiding this ‘designer’.
