STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY!

Only reason I gave 1 star is because I can’t give a zero star! Worst company to deal with! We decided to use Datalink as our service provider in 2020 (they assist with our Internet and switchboard).

We then received an email for Lanline Technologies stating that they are now our new service provider. How this happened, still not 100% sure. Will probably never know for sure.

I sent an email informing Lanline that we will not be using their services as we have decided to go with another company. I requested a statement of the outstanding so that I can have my numbers ported to the new service provider. I received the statement and invoices, made payment and my number has still not been ported.

Received 2 additional invoices today which needs to be paid before the number can be ported. Obviously unhappy about this! I asked for the statement and invoices so I can have our number ported, a week later I receive additional invoices. After contacting Landline, the accounts department gives me a figure of what needs to be paid before the number can be ported. Fine… we will make payment. However before making anymore payments I requested written confirmation that this will now be the last invoices we need to pay in order to have our number ported. Guess what… they sent me a copy of the invoice I already have.

Eventually received an email for a different person stating that we need to pay the 2 invoices for out number to be released/ported. In this email I was told that this will be the last invoices.

I paid the invoices, sent proof of payment and sent a copy of the email correspondence through to all the relevant parties.

I feel that this was handled poorly, when someone requests statements, invoices and clearly say that their intentions are to have their number ported, be honest and say that there will be additional changes or additional invoices. Don’t send the statement and wait for payment, just to send additional invoices which needs to be paid before the hostage (number) will be released.

Surely it’s not too much to ask!

Good day Deandra,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance, and we really appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention.

All numbers can be released for porting when account statements have been paid up to date.

I will request for accounts to investigate and get back to you soonest.

Kind Regards,
Team Lanline
