Langkloof Roses double-booked a wedding this past weekend. When the bride and groom arrived on Friday to check in (which was fully paid for months in advance), another wedding party was still occupying the venue with the venue’s permission. After hours of waiting and false promises, Langkloof Roses told the wedding party & guests to move to alternative accommodation. This caused chaos for their guests, cost them extra money, and meant they couldn’t set up for their wedding the night before.

On the wedding day, rooms weren’t ready, the couple spent their morning setting up instead of getting ready, and pre-paid lunches were forgotten. During the reception, the wrong wine and incorrect quantities were served, champagne service was poor, and at midnight the groom had to manage the gate himself, letting cars in an out.

On Sunday, breakfast (which was pre-paid for 45 guests) was also double-booked with a baby shower. There was hardly any food, no coffee, and members of the wedding party ended up helping cook and serve while the bride and groom helped hand out plates.

To make things worse, the owner has refused any refund, compensation, or even a proper apology.

What should have been the happiest weekend of their lives was filled with stress and disappointment. I would strongly warn any couple against trusting Langkloof Roses with an event as important as a wedding.
