Outdated hotel

My partner and I went to the hotels pool and were told to pay R120 (each) to enter, but we will receive our deposit back when we leave. We received vouchers that said we must use the deposit via voucher for food & drink inside the hotel, but this is not what we intended on doing. Being vegan also, there was no food on the menu, so eating at the restaurant was simply not an option.

I told the staff this when we were leaving but they were reluctant to help and the manager was unfriendly.

This is clearly a very outdated system that needs to be updated ASAP and customers should have a choice on using the pool only and purchasing from the bar/restaurant to their own accord and not through a voucher system. I was horrified with the reluctance to help us.
