Beyond disappointment

<p>Previous to arriving, and arriving, at the hotel the staff were amazing and very friendy. However we found too many things wrong from here on out.</p> <p>The room was very unsatisfactory as the bathroom layout was ridiculuous with the shower being minute and the shower head far too low, never-mind the entire roof. Despite this, the tap in the basin leaked too. All this being said, the rooms are in dire need of renovation, especially for the price you're paying. Lastly, plates etc. from the room next to us were left outside, in the corridor (on the floor), for over a day, which is unacceptable in any establishment that you reside.</p> <p>We also booked a table at the crayfish Inn. Here, the steak had absolutely no flavour and was terribly dry. The crayfish was ridiculously small, unppetizing and extremely disappointing all in all (even-more-so because you expect the best and freshest when you're by the coast). DONT let them tell you it's fresh because it isn't, The clam chowder was watery and tasteless, worse than dish-water. This restaurant we felt is very over-priced, for the quality of food and poor service.</p> <p>Saying all this, our previous few nights were spent at Fairmont Lodge, for essentially the same price, and we have no complaints for there. All that I feel La Montagne has is the view of the sea, but it's definitely not worth the price.</p>
