Kreepy Krawly Warranty is useless and their customer care is even worse.
Sadly, I have had similar problems as those complained of by other reviewers here.
Dominator bought ** months ago for R*,***.oo with a * YEAR WARRANTY has already cost me R*,***.** in repairs. Worst of all is that the company which was once a "South African Icon” who used to value their customers when building their brand, Have now become too big to care?
I have sent * emails over the past * weeks and have still not had the courtesy of a response. Needless to say, this smacks of absolute disregard for customers and their satisfaction.
Whilst I understand that the tyres are normal wear and tear, the other working parts are not and are therefore a manufacturing deficiency. Thus, I am of the opinion that if the unit cannot do what it was bought to do within the guarantee/warranty period, it should be replaced or repaired at the manufacturer’s expense.
So long Kreepy Krawly from a previously loyal customer. Time to try other makes on the market.

| There are 3 factors that are looked at with regards to creating longevity of a Pool cleaner.

| 1. Suction (Pressure)
| 2. Run time
| 3. Chemical balance
|
| All our cleaners are supp**** with the flow gauge, these are very effective if the Pool system is running at its optimum. The big problem is the Pool system pressure does change when a back wash is done, Filter sand is changed, the Pool pump is changed or serviced.
| I would suggest opening the Regulator valve in the Weir to its full capacity and rotate the cap on the valve quarterly until the unit climbs the just under the ware level and leave the valve on that setting.

| The run time is determined by your pump you have installed.
| Yes variable speed can used, as long as they are set the general ruling app**** where filtration is concerned.
| This is used by all pool builders and anyone in the field to determine pump size and Filter for the volume of water at hand.
|
| The calculation of determining run time is the total volume of water needs to run through the filter twice a day.
| Pool Volume measurement (Length x Breadth x 1.5 x 1000 = (Volume of water) x 2 = (Total Volume of water)
|
| How long this takes depends on the pump installed as flow rates differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.
| This information is usually noted on the terminal box on top of the motor or on the side of the motor.
| The flow rate will be indicated by either Litres/minute (x 60 =) or Litres per Hour or m3h (x 1000 =)
|
| The Total Volume of water is divided by the hour flow rate the pump delivers and this will indicate the running hours per day required for that specific pool.
| No more, No less.
|
| Lastly water chemistry is also vital as incorrect water balance can disrupt the Pool cleaner parts makeup.
| Too much chlorine can make plastic components brittle, discolor and even change the rubber components compound.
| Incorrect acid application can eat away at the rubber components as this is heavier than water and will sink to the deep end.
| If the cleaner has finished the cycle and lays dormant in the deep end where the acid rests. Then the components will be under attack.

26 Aug 2019, 12:36What a load of garbage. I have already stated that I have a very small pool (Three meters by Four Metres) and that the pool and pump is looked after impeccably. Further, the dominator was only run for SIX hours per day. If it cannot cope with this, then there is indeed an inherent fault. Come on Kreepy Krawly stop looking for Cop Outs and stand by your product and its warranty. Awaiting your reply to do the honourable thing and refund my money!!!!

What a load of garbage. I have already stated that I have a very small pool (Three meters by Four Metres) and that the pool and pump is looked after impeccably. Further, the dominator was only run for SIX hours per day. If it cannot cope with this, then there is indeed an inherent fault. Come on Kreepy Krawly stop looking for Cop Outs and stand by your product and its warranty. Awaiting your reply to do the honourable thing and refund my money!!!!
