Kreepy Kraulys' Zero after sales service and Back-up

Kreepy Krualy is not the cheapest brand and on past experience you would expect the same good quality! We bought a Dominator on the 15-12-2016, the unit has until March 2018 worked perfectly. The unit started moving in tight circles cleaning only a 2m area of the pool. 16th March we contacted KK Jhb and were advised to take the unit to Pool Doctor Bellville as it would be collected by the sales rep that same day. Fri 23rd March I contacted Dewalt and Donovan in CT office to check on progress, Donovan promised to get back to me later on the 23rd or at the latest on Mon 26th March with an answer. It is the 3rd of April and I have not heard from Kreepy Krauly. This level of service is shocking and I would strongly urge pool owners to steer towards other brands when looking for a pool cleaner.

Thank you for bringing the mater to our attention. Please do not view this in a negative light. I have done a follow up on this enquiry with Donovan and the response is as follows: A quote was sent through to Marbelite the 26th March and is still pending. Your unit serial number: 16DGG5865. Kindly check with the Pool Doctor Belville.

The Saga continues, Pentair/Kreepy Krauly will not stand by their Warrantee and charge a repair fee of R800 to replace worn gears. To this day, 1 month later, I have yet to see a quote/report on the unit or after numerous promises had a single telephone /follow-up call from anyone, only a simple non-committed reply to one of my emails. This in a unit that was used for about 8 months in an average 5m x 4m fibre lined pool running for 4 hrs p/day. So it seems that the unit is not made for a pool with a deep and shallow end (1.2m - 1.7m) the gears will wear out and that is NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR!!!!!!! I have resigned myself to the fact that any brand other than Kreepy Krauly should be able to do the trick, you might also get some backup elsewhere.
