What I love about Koa Academy is precisely that they have NOT done a direct bricks and mortar to online translation. This is NOT school as you've always known it, just online. As an ex-schoolteacher myself I can see they have genuinely re-thought every aspect of education (not just school) and tried to find the most effective ways to truly educate children as a whole person, with the knowledge and the skills they will need for the future. The small pods have been wonderful for building and fostering friendships, and the flexible structure of the day has given my daughter the opportunity to incorporate her dancing and music in ways that may not have been possible elsewhere. From the Koa teachers I've had contact with, I get the feeling that they genuinely love what they do. They get to be the teachers they always wanted to be - passionate mentors, meaningfully engaged with each student. Termly edu-outings and social events in the main centres help to build connections outside of the online space. As a family, we're all about win-win solutions and I can tell you, besides all of the benefits above, as well as the cost-effective fees, the thing that has made the most difference to our quality of life is that instead of that dratted morning rush and school run, we get to connect as a family at various points through the day as my husband and I both work from home as well. Koa Academy has exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend this school to any family seeking a top-notch, flexible, and engaging online education for their children.
