Nothing extra. Just the least

I went to Kloof Street House a while ago for a friend of mines birthday. The restaurant is really cool and there is such a great vibe, but I can't see myself actually going back there.

Here's why: I asked the waiter what he could suggest that did not contain dairy. He suggested the Ostrich Fillet and said that he would ask the kitchen to just take away the dairy. The plate arrived with basically just the Ostrich Fillet and some garnish.

I don't do fine dining often but in my experience, at such fancy restaurants, the kitchen can usually make some kind of plan for someone like me. I was charged R190 for less than 200g of Ostrich Fillet. I wasn't asked what they could add (like a salad or just baked potato or whatever)

So as much as I like the vibe and the place, I will be sharing my very expensive experience in detail with people who ask about this place in future.
