Concern about the intention of the people at Kitty & Puppy Haven

<p>We were interested in adopting puppies from Kitty & Puppy Haven last year and decided to visit them. The 2 male dogs which we wanted to adopt were 6 months old which puts them in the teenage (fifth development stage). </p> <p> </p> <p>The employees at Kitty & Puppy Haven charged us R1000.00 for each dog which is the price you pay for adults in stead of the R700.00. Secondly the fact that they don't visit the homes of the 'owners' first before selling the animals and before accepting the money does not make sense as we investigated with other organisations of which they first visit the homes before selling the animals. </p> <p>Surely it makes sense to first visit the homes to see the living conditions, approve the home and then contact the people interested in adopting after which they should then continue with the payment & adoption terms.</p> <p>Thirdly, while we were there on the Saturday morning we also overheard a conversation making mention of dogs that needed shelter and the one employee responded she was not interested as the dogs were not the right size. This was very strange because we were told that they provide shelter to any stray animals. </p> <p>If this organisation really cares for the welfare of animals any stray or abandoned animal should be taken in.</p> <p>Also why does this organisation not have adoption forms online?</p> <p>Due to the dishonesty of the employees of this organisation we could not go ahead with the adoption.</p> <p>I sent them an email dated 4th April 2016 with the concerns raised above of which nobody made any effort to respond as they clearly don't know what to say & are guilty of just taking money and not for the interest of the animals.</p>
