Worst Worst Worst experience with claims
Its been exactly 65 days since Ive logged my claim with my insurer king price for my polo which was assessed and considered a write off. On the 31st of August 2020 I logged the claim and was sent a message as follows - We've registered your claim and hope to soon have you smiling again! Pls refer to CKP***/1 when chatting to us. *** King Price ***. I then only received a call afterwards on the 11th of September from their insurance investigator Ronald Pillay who told me that he needs to call me telephonically for an assessment regarding the accident, he did not give me an option to meet and go over anything in person instead he wanted to speak to me as if we were friends and ended up taking a recorded statement with accident details. He asked me for various documents afterwards of which I've obtained and submitted to him timeously. He then forgets about the fact that as a consumer who is insured with king price whilst baring loss in this difficult time needs to be updated timeously in terms of the progress of my claim. I always had to keep calling and following up on my own claim and even still did not make any progress. I kept waiting on Ronald as if i was been done a favor whereas I am covered by king price insurance and have been paying my premiums for my vehicle insurance and my installment for the vehicle to date even though the vehicle is the possession of king price. I was kept given different excuses from Ronald himself and also on behalf of Ronald when I had been calling the call center for feedback on my claim. I kept pushing them to get my claim finalized until I received a call on the 26th of October by claims manager Sasha Naidoo stating that my claim will be finalized in 24 hours and i will receive feedback, I then had peace of mind and waited 24 hours however no response was given to me again so I decided to call in to speak to her, she then advised that my car will have to go for further inspection according to Ronald which was not available to comment at this stage. She then also advised that she made a mistake by calling me on Monday the 26th Oct stating my claim will be finalized in 24 hours. My question was if the vehicle was in their possession for 65 days why now only decide on the process to send the vehicle for more inspections? It just doesnt make sense. I was then called by Ronald on the 30th Oct 2020 and he clearly advised that he will finalize and provide me with the outcome by latest Tuesday the 3rd of November however I was mislead once again and i have no feedback today the 3rd of November 2020. I am so heartbroken with the service I've been given or should i say not given as promised in my policy. It will he highly appreciated if someone from an executive level can look at this and personally assist me. Thanking you kindly.
