What a joke King Price

King Price is the worst Insurance company I have ever had to deal with. We had a massive storm in the area and our one tree cracked at the bottom resulting in it being unstable. The tree was leaning towards the boundary wall, electric fence and the overhead power cables. I called in on Sunday to report the tree is damaged and to prevent damage to my boundary wall, electric fence and overhead power cables to save King Price from having to pay out if the tree damages the boundary wall and electric fence. i was told the claim is lodged. I called the Monday morning and was told they need the damage report and quotation which I sent Sunday already. I called Monday afternoon only to find out that there is no claim. I opened a claim again. I reset photo's, quote and damage report again. I called Tuesday morning again as I told King Price that the tree company is removing the tree 12h00 today to prevent more damage. I was told they did not get the photo's, quote or damaged report. I emailed everything again. I was told on Sunday my excess will be R1500.00 which was not a problem. I called back Tuesday afternoon again only to be informed that they will not be paying out on the tree claim as the tree did not damage anything. My point is I saved King Price money by removing the tree before they had to pay thousands on repairing the boundary wall and electric fence if the tree was left to fall. They refuse to pay out on a small amount of only R 3500.00 minus the excess. They are quick to take your monthly installment but not quick to pay when you need assistance in a claim. The least they can do is be thankful for clients like us thinking ahead before they need to pay out thousands of rand. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman as I feel we can not control the weather and the damage was due to a storm cracking the tree at the stump. I will never do business with King Price again or recommend anyone to join them. Very disappointed in King Price as they did not make our day Royal as they claim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
