Wash hands off from any responsibility

I have escalated my concerns to the manager. Including my email I sent her on Monday 22 Feb. Still waiting for resolution...

"Dear Ms. Thulisile Msibi I am writing this email regarding the lack of service, communication and feedback that I have been receiving on my claim (..................) from Ms. Basetsana Segage. To get feedback I am the one that has been constantly calling. I have never received a call from her to update me on what has been going on since she was assigned to my case. Her only communication has been to CC me in an email to the SMD yard. She did not discuss anything about this process with me and I am still in the dark as to when all of this will be resolved.

Another case in point is how I left a message for her to call me this morning, it is nearly close of business and still I have not heard back from her.

It has been two weeks since I filed my claim, and this matter with my car is still far from resolved.

As the records will show you, my claim has been declined since the total amount was less than my excess.

I have since privately taken my vehicle in to the panel beaters to fix the damages.

My concern currently lies in the following:

I have been using my own private funds to get around FOR TWO WEEKS as I do not qualify for the courtesy car. With the lack of service this already looks like it will go on for another week AT MY EXPENSE (because of someone else’s negligence).

The panel beaters are finishing the work on my car today.

If the damages I came with are all that I had to take care of, then I wouldn’t be writing this email. It’s been a headache dealing with other peoples negligence (leaving light on and causing flat battery; forcing open and breaking spare wheel container).

I have not received any feedback AND money on:

When I will be reimbursed for the lock that I bought (submitted invoice and proof of payment)?

When I/service provider will be reimbursed for the car battery that became flat at the yard (SMD)?

When I/service provider will be reimbursed for the spare wheel container that was damaged whilst at the yard (SMD)?

As the panel beaters will be finished with my car today, they await my permission to start fixing the spare wheel container.

I am not going to be responsible for the additional costs incurred by keeping my car longer at the panel beater. Also, I am not going to drive around with a car where the spare wheel container can not be safely secured and thus cause a security issue with the spare tire being exposed to ********* for the taking.

The service from King Price has been VERY disappointing.

I need answers and I need to know when I/service provider will be paid for this negligence.

Hope to have this clarified soon.

Reviewer Update
Three weeks and still waiting...

Stuck in the middle while King Price and SMD decide who is responsible for damage caused to my spare wheel container.

As I have not had feedback from King Price or SMD, I have gone ahead and paid from my own pocket to action the repair as I can't afford to be without a car for much longer. So whenever a decision is made, who ever is responsible can pay the money into my personal account.

We know your time is important, and that you want to get this wrapped up as soon as possible. We’re very sorry that you’ve had to wait so long, and we’re looking into what’s causing the delay right this second. We will follow up with SMD and provide you with feedback.
