Warning, Be Careful: King Price Extended Motor Warrant

I have held a King Price Extended Motor Warranty for my 2021 VW Golf for a considerable period, without ever missing a payment. When it came time to submit a claim, I was told, that the issue was “not covered,” despite the fact that I clearly explained the fault during the claim submission call, including the exact area of concern. I was initially told to take the vehicle to my preferred repairer, and I took it VW for diagnostics. However, once the repair quotation was submitted, the claim was declined on the basis that the issue was not covered. When I queried why this was not communicated at the time of logging the claim, I was informed that the claim was captured by an administrative staff member. I then questioned why the claim advisor, who reviewed the claim, failed to notify me beforehand that the issue would not be covered. The response I received was simply that I should refer to my policy document. My main frustration is having to pay for diagnostic costs for an issue I already knew about and had clearly explained upfront. This experience has highlighted serious gaps in communication, accountability, and customer care—both from King Price and the King Price third-party service providers involved. As a result of this experience, we will be cancelling all our policies with King Price. I believe the company can do better, and the service partners they work with would benefit from significant customer service improvements. I strongly advise potential customers to thoroughly research the King Price Extended Motor Warranty offering before committing to it.
