UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED
IF YOUR WELL-BEING IS IMPORTANT TO YOU, DON'T TAKE OUT CAR INSURANCE WITH KING PRICE. We have three cars insured with this insurer, so in October I submitted a claim for the replacement of a windscreen and requested a VW-certified windscreen rather than a generic one. They initially rejected it, but I fought for it until it was accepted. When my mother submitted a claim in January 2023 to have her Audi's windscreen replaced, she discovered the access for windscreen replacement had jumped from 750 to 1250 without our knowledge. I immediately checked the last policy schedule we received which was in November 2022, it confirmed that both the premium and the access fee for windscreen replacement had been increased. Mind you this increased, literally a month after claiming for the VW meaning they were ****ed off that i didn't want a generic glass fitted on my car. We accepted the increased access as there was nothing we could do then anyways, we then requested that they also replace the Audi windscreen with n Audi certified windscreen. They again declined, giving the flimsy argument that the vehicle was no longer covered by warranty. After we informed them that the warranty has been renewed WITH AUDI, they demanded documentation showing that the vehicle was still covered. I still haven't received an answer to my question, which was: "How do the auto warranty, windscreen claim, and insurance correlate?" (side note: AUDI is also confused why these people want the warranty letter) Because KING PRICE does not want to pay for an Audi-certified windscreen, we are being forced to accept a generic windscreen by the company that King Price has subcontracted for such claims, called DGC. Because King Price won't pay for an original, my mother is forced to drive a car with a damaged windscreen, which is dangerous. KING PRICE IS THE WORST! Unless you have the stamina to battle each time you make a claim, DO NOT TAKE CAR INSURANCE WITH THEM.
Also, if you are saying that "Alternative glass is not inferior to branded glass." then why not replace it with the branded glass we are requesting seeing that both are the same?
We are more than welcome to send proof of warranty, that's not the dispute here.
please let's get this matter resolved asap, we need to move to another insurance by the end of the month.
