Up-sold devices that add no value or additional services as requested.

Extremely disappointing service received! Have been with King Price for several years. Recently change my cover to Chilly-cover, and because i have a problem uploading the mileage i called to ask what would be my options. Was advised to move back to full comprehensive cover, at a massive increase, or to install a telematix device with Beame that will send through the mileage on my behalf, and i would not have to worry about is, and this at a very low cost. 2 months later, I noticed that the mileage is not being uploaded, and i get charged the maximum amount as per the Chilly-Cover. Just called to find out what is happening, and was advised that no device in the same price range uploads the mileage, after being upsold this device heavily on my previous calls, and was advised to "load a reminder on my phone to upload mileage". If i had the time and access to load the mileage on the app, i would not have gone to all the trouble of getting the damned device installed. Ridiculous service! So one of two things must be happening here. The consultant who upsold me the Beame device is either in on it, and has some sort of underhanded dealing with Beame, or has absolutely no clue what they are doing, and have not been trained properly regarding the add-ons or services offered. In the age we are living in today, I tend to lean to the first possibility. As for Kagiso, the supervisor who handled my call today, the only advice of using my calendar for a reminder and to pay the increase in premium of +- R500 is absolutely laughable.
