Unsatisfied client
I recently submitted a claim with King Price for my deep freezer that was working after load shedding. King Price sent out an assessor to my house and the assessor said to be that the deep freezer isn't work due to a power surge problem and furthermore gave me a copy of the job card that stated power surge in the damages column.
a week past by and know one got back to me so I called in and the service that I received was pathetic. they kept on referring me from department to department and know one could help. eventually I got in touch with your council and got a response that my claim was null and void due to the thermostat that burnt. I asked that if possible could I please get an assessor out on my behalf to re-assess the deep freezer because I was unhappy with the outcome of my claim. the assessor came out checked my deep freezer and asked me where is the DB board and it turns out that the plug switch had tripped and he just lifted it and my freezer is still working 100% fine.
So please who ever reads this post please be the judge and see who's fooling who because I was told that that I influenced the assessor to write the outcome of the report as follows:
As per the assessor’s feedback, it is confirmed that the damage to the freezer was not as a result of power surge or any other insured peril, thus no insured peril operated in this instance. The damage to your freezer is as a result of direct exclusions contained in your King Price Policy Document. The aforesaid exclusions being wear and tear related and, more specifically, damage being as a result of mechanical, electrical, electronic breakdown, defect or failure and there being no cover for damage to consumable parts. It was advised that the slip is the job card and that it contains the client’s opinion on the cause of damage to the assessed item, not the assessor’s opinion.
