unsatisfactory service
1. On February 15, 2023, I was in a car accident. I experienced chest pains as a result of airbag deployment and neck pains as a result of whiplash.
2. King Price Road Assist dispatched a tow truck to tow the vehicle to the nearest place of safety. Together with other parties, I went to SAPS to report the accident.
3. On February 16, 2023, I experienced shortness of breath. I went to the emergency room at Die Wilgers Hospital, underwent a number of procedures, and was then discharged after several hours on the same day.
4. I spoke with Bongani in the claims department on February 17, 2023, and he helped me to register a new claim. On February 20, 2023, an assessor named Chris called me to let me know that my vehicle had been deemed uneconomical to repair and that the claims department would be calling to discuss the settlement of the claim.
5. I contacted King Price on February 20, 2023, to follow up on my claim. I spoke to Alicia who then informed me that the second claim handler, Thina Msiza, had been assigned to handle my claim.
6. I left Thina a callback note on February 20, 2023 when I was unable to get her on the phone.
7. I sent Tina a follow-up email at 17:55 on February 23, 2023, and copied the claims department, asking them to let me know how my claim was progressing.
8. I rep**** to Thina's email on February 24, 2023, but I haven't heard anything back as of yet (please see email from Thina below).
9. I was notified by text message from King Price on February 27, 2023, that my claim would be validated by a senior claims consultant, which is a third person.
10. I got a text message today informing me that my premium increased by R600.
11. My premium increased by R600 even though the claims department is still working on my claim after my vehicle was deemed uneconomical to repair.
12. I have not gotten a premium increase renewal notice from King Price.
13. Please send me a client service recording wherein I was consulted and consented to changes on my policy, and please look into why my premium increased by R600.
