Unreliable insurance that will do anything not to pay your claim.

I have been a loyal customer of King price for over 5 years with two vehicles and I really trusted that I did have the best insurance of choice. Don’t you think that if one pays this much for insurance for so many years, that you will do your utmost best to make sure everything is in place and that the correct procedures are being followed for you not to be rejected what you have paid for with your hard working earned money.

Since the 18th of August 2018 till today, I have never received any sms’s, e-mails, phone call or any communication letting me know that I am not insured should one of my vehicles been ******.

King Price rejected our claim because of us not having a tracking device installed. Never has anyone ever followed up or even asked for a certificate to prove that we have a tracking device installed. Normally when you do have insurance a insurer would make sure you do things like this, some insurance companies insist to use their own tracking companies and they book the installation for you.

If I had known that a simple tracking device of worth R99 per month would have given me this big a hassle with a claim, I would have installed two of them to make sure the tracking device gets picked up.

We have been with King Price since 2018 with two expensive vehicles till now and I added another vehicle recently. What a disappointment!! And they are not of the cheapest insurance companies out there.

We did absolutely everything in our power to try and recover the vehicle as this vehicle would have been paid in full by the end of 2024. King Price is just looking for any way not to pay out our claim but have taken our money all of these years!!

The vehicles was loaded onto the LPR system even before we had n case number, we immediately had people looking for surveillance cameras and got footage while waiting to open a case at SAPS. We tried absolutely everything to try and recover our vehicle.

Never has anyone at King Price asked me for a tracking device certificate. The vehicle was in an accident in March 2023 and they paid out without asking for any tracking certificates, not to mention that I was never told that my vehicle will not be insured should I not have a tracking device installed. Why now all of a sudden will this be a issue if they never even helped me understand that I needed a tracking device. Other insurance companies makes sure that you understand and install the device. They even ask for the certificate as proof or assist you with getting a device installed.

What would tracking devices make any difference in getting the vehicle if we only realized 40 minutes after the vehicle was ******. We do have the keys, the spare keys and the service keys with all the evidence that we tried very hard finding our vehicle. We have been paying King Price for over 5 years and 5 months with little claims, my installment was collected every month and on time, how can this now be a problem for my claim being accepted.

Be very careful if you are with King Price insurance, they are NOT reliable and very expensive! They will look for any possible excuse to not pay a claim. What a disgrace!

Now they will tell us that we should have read the fine prints!!!

Be very careful of this company. They have just cost us over R600 000.
