Unjust Claim Rejection By King Price!

King Price? Think twice! On the 17th of October 2020 I was involved in an accident and my car sustained some serious disfigurement [probably a write-off]. To cut this dispiriting story short, after a prolonged period of validating the claim, the insurance investigator Rudi Nel rejected my claim. One of my three friends who was in the car was the one driving my car and I was at the back seat having the best nap of my life. Now, my friend who was driving my car back to Mpumalanga from Limpopo on the day of the accident, was driving for the same reason he drove from Mpumalanga to Limpopo the previous day, he does not drink alcohol! As it stands out, my claim was rejected for "Incomplete information", whatever that means, and "driving under the influence of alcohol"! Imagine that, my friend who does not drink, was driving under the influence of alcohol, what? What incomplete information? It turns out that the investigator even **** to me about having contacted a friend of mine who was at the scene of the accident. It has come to my attention that even the person whom we went to Limpopo to meet (My friend who was driving had a meeting with her) was never contacted by the investigator in the process of validating the claim, So what incomplete information really?

Here is what's even more absurd, I asked the investigator if he had any proof that the non-drinker driver was driving under the influence of alcohol and his response was, "Yes, I have a couple of witnesses, Et cetera. . .Et cetera. . .". How unprofessional? Et cetera Et cetera?

Another thing, after the rejection of the claim, I was told that the insurance has arranged for the car to be towed to my address from Limpopo. The formal rejection letter that I got a few days later states that it is my responsibility to fetch the car from the panel beater within 7 days or some extra charges will be incurred. The panel beater claims that the assessor only came on the 4th of November 2020 and they know nothing about the arrangements of towing the car. Challenging this claim outcome is the only way to go, terrible terrible service from King Price!
