Unhappy with a premium increase
Hi, for the first time in a long time I'm disappointed with Kingprice. Every time I've been notified of an annual premium increase, I've called your call centre and someone has been able to meet me half way and reduce that amount. This year, I'm met with "the system isn't offering a discount" and "inflation" and "car part prices" excuses. I haven't submitted a single claim since joining you and you're telling you you can't do anything about this R50 increase? I'd be fine if you increased it to the same amount as a year ago but there doesn't seem to be any leeway with this "system" of yours that can't be overridden by a human being. Are you happy with me shopping around for quotes?

02 Sept 2019, 16:37Here's the thing, like all insurers, we too need to implement policy rerates to keep up the rising costs of parts, labour rates, repairs, inflation etc... Which even we can't ignore! These costs aren't linked to the value of your car, which as you know, depreciates monthly. And unlike other insurers, King Price takes this into account and DECREASES your comprehensive car insurance premium every month. Our retention's department has been in contact to discuss.
