Unfair handling of claims by King Price
I've recently had a very bad experience with this company in the sense that I was treated unfairly and was treated like a stat and not a client. Please note the below so that it may raise awareness as to how unfair king price can be when it comes to handling claims.
SPEED LIMIT -
It was noted that the reason for the claim to be rejected was because of speed limit, even though it was proven on the data they have that the only time the speed increase was the moment of my husband over taking the 2 cars that were fighting amongst each other to prevent the accident that could have occurred from their driving, and it also shows that the speed reduced when that was done and unfortunately the other party who drove into our car couldn’t control her driving and came straight to my husband even when he tried to indicate to her the lady to stop but the lady continued to drive and bumped into my husband. How is this our fault and how are we penalized for someone’s fault? (Proof is available)
Non-Disclosure -
When king price accepted to insurer the vehicle, they knew it`s a high performance vehicle hence they charge us the high premium because of the type the car and also the vehicle was not being driven on the highest speed on the road on the day but the speed change only when my husband was trying to prevent accident and be on a safe side by avoiding the 2 cars that were fighting amongst each other but we are still being punished for that even though the persona at wrong was a third party. Which amount of speed could have been a better speed to overtake as this car is a high performance and the safest way to prevent this was to overtake but unfortunately loadshedding took place and the 3rd party drove into us. I mean an accident is unforeseen even but we are now punished and penalized for an unforeseen but that is the reason we insurer assets to be safe when that event comes and that is why we accept higher premiums because we understand the nature and the value of the assets we buy as they might be a risk to an insurer though we pay premiums in a monthly basis so to be safe not be punished and penalized for mistakes of other people. (Proof is available)
Investigation duration –
As a client of king price, I also feel that the time taken to investigate the matter and come to a decision was not sufficient to generate the accurate information regarding the claim, this is a huge claim and write off about R700 000, but it was treated like a minor accident or claim as if like it was a windscreen claim. The consultant didn’t seem to care about this claim instead he was just in hurry and motivated just decline the claim. (Proof is available)
Monthly Statistics -
I really beleive that I was treated unfairly by the consulted who came with a decision of declining our claim, he was not sympathising and respecting me. He treated me like statistics, he told me straight that he will motivate that this claim be declined as soon as possible on a recorded line, he made everything about him and didn’t consider me as a client, the trauma, the loss, the panicking nothing at all was considered about me the only thing that he was motivating when advising me about the findings was that he will motivate for this to be declined and we believe he did. Was our claim declined because of the consultant having to meet his monthly stats to prevent performance warnings or anything of such? how do you laugh at a client that is facing such a difficult time also how do call it a customer service to tell a client with no doubt that you going to motivate the claim to be declined. (Proof is available)
Claim service and Quality in final disclosure –
The consultant was very rude and unprofessional he treated the matter personally and he was not even sympathetic. The period he took to investigate the matter was not enough and seems like he was running out of time for his monthly stats as he found it easy to be RUDE and told us straight that he will motivate the board to decline our claim. The discovery issue about our previous insurer, he was dishonest his findings, he had the wrong information about the BMW claim that we had, he continuously spoke about the BMW X3 but the claim that was in question when they were talking about discovery was for the BMW M2 Competition as the X3 was a write off and that was properly disclosed to the sales consultant but he still used the incorrect information to decline our client claim.
Furthermore I am yet to recieve my premiums back as they promised me that I will be recieveing them, untill today this has not happened even though I followed up twice with them.
They are speakinf seperate things whereby in their reports they claim that the traffic lights where the scene of the accident was were not workingand now they are claiming they were working when there is evidance that they definatley not working due to loadshedding.
