Unfair claim rejection

I'm writing regarding my insurance claim for two damaged tires. After hitting a pothole, my front left tire developed two bubbles, and the right front tire was punctured by a nail. I processed a claim with my insurance (King price)However, I've been informed that my claim may be affected due to insufficient tread depth (1.6mm), which wasn't disclosed when I purchased the policy.

I feel that crucial information wasn't shared during the sales process, prioritizing sales over customer awareness. I'd like clarification on how tread depth relates to the damage caused by the pothole and nail. Given athe prevalence of potholes on our roads, I believe it's unfair to hold me accountable for these incidents.
