They lie about what they have done so far about a valid claim.

I live in a complex, and the downstairs neighbour's geyser burst on 28 June 2019 resulting in my ceiling collapsing and and water pouring into my bedroom. The complex is insured by Kings Insurance, but the service and communication received is appalling.

They replaced the geyser on Monday 1st July 2019. The contractor then came into my flat to take a picture of the hole in the ceiling.

The complex manager informed me the next day that King Price Insurance had sent an assessor to me to assess the damage. Was the contractor the assessor? If so, why did he only ask to take a photo of the ceiling and not discuss the damage with me. They also told our complex manager that they had made arrangements with me to fix the damage on Wednesday 3 July 2019. They had not got hold of me at all! But I made sure I was home on Wednesday to give them access.

The contractors put new ceiling board up, and then left, assuring me that they would return to screed and paint it once they had received the excess payment.

It's now two weeks later, and nothing has happened. The complex manager called King Price Insurance to follow up, and he was told that they had completed the job ages ago, and that the excess had been paid. I'm not sure how and unscreeded, unpainted piece of ceiling board is regarded as a completed job.

King Price's communication with the complex manager seems to be a bunch of lies. I find this very unprofessional and dissapointing. It is just made worse by the fact that I have to live with the damage caused by their clients geyser.

I would not recommend them at all based on their poor service, and lies told.
