The real cost of low-cost insurance

<p style="color: #555555;">I lodged a claim with King Price Insurance on the 9th of April 2016, following a car accident that put me in hospital. </p> <p style="color: #555555;">Their handling of this claim has been atrocious. </p> <p style="color: #555555;">I initially went through the claim process with Raimondo Soubeko and then proceeded to never hear from him again. Despite multiple emails to their customer care and calls to the call centre I struggled to find out if any progress was achieved on the claim. </p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">Only after complaining on Twitter did I get an email and call from the claims centre manager Shaldon Harilal. </p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">The process continued to drag on over weeks. </p> <p style="color: #555555;">With Mr Soubeko going on leave without ever having spoken to me. </p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">On the 26th of April my courtesy car was withdrawn by King Price as they said the claim had been settled. Even though the car should have been for 30 days. </p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">It is now 5 weeks later and I still have not received my claim money and have had to hire a courtesy car at my own expense. </p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">The customer care at King Price Insurance is appalling, with no regard for customers time or inconvenience. </p>
